I am enchanted by the simple beauty of this piece! It is a bridge that has glass beneath the railings that lights up in case one or more people cross. The light that accompanies pedestrians grows or shrinks according to walking speed. If you really wanna get a good look at how the bridge works click on the LINK ABOVE. The first thing I thought of when I saw this was Michael Jackson’s “Billy Jean,” where he’s walking on the sidewalk that lights when it’s stepped on. I always thought that would be fun, and then I see this!! I love the design, and the way the bridge looks at night when people are walking across. It looks very peaceful and dreamy to me, also sort of spiritual, like an aura following you. I also love the interactive aspect. Just looking at it made me feel like I wanted to run across it, walk slowly, or just plain PLAY on the bridge!! It adds life to the middle of a somewhat still city night. Just plain ‘ole dreamy.
