Forget those glow-in-the-dark stars you stuck on your ceiling when you were young, this project is the gnarliest thing next to a sky full of a stars. James Clar, a New York University graduate, created this piece; Clar specializes in the creation of structures that incorporate technology and art. This piece uses multiple grids of LEDs suspended from the ceiling. A motor is used to vibrate the LEDs and glasses similar to 3d glasses are used to enhance the effects of the light. This project isn’t incredibly innovative but I feel it could be a great experience to witness this in person. I also think that this is something we could recreate or use as a basic idea for a final project.
