A dear ol’ turtle had lost its hind leg, and in an interesting effort to save the poor beast from a fate many other turtles might have faced, someone has equipped it with a tire. No motor attached, unfortunately, so we won’t be seeing any speeding turtles anytime soon.

To cope with the muddy terrain, the plastic tire has been replaced with an air filled rubber one, but lord help this creature when it needs to get underwater.

Imagine this, though, for the possibility of connecting tires like this to humans with missing legs, making the need for the impressive motor skills needed to walk obsolete, but perhaps preferable to the inconveniences of the rugged, but limited, tire.
