Scientists have created a solar cell 200 times thinner than a human hair. This technology is bound to be powering the newest technology of the future, including ultralow power electronics that can be worn or used inside the body. There are many possibilities with this new technology from consumer devices to medical purposes. Beside from being clean and highly efficient, these solar cells are also a renewable source of energy. To me, this is only the tip of the iceberg for this technology. I’m sure there is much more to come from this microscopic source of energy.
