Pollen sniffing robots in Japan

Yes, you read the title right. Weathernews Inc. is putting white spherical robots to work in Japan. 200 are being deployed by volunteers outside their houses and will track the pollen count in the air. The data is accumulated on their website and the goal is to track the levels of cedar and cypress pollen. The eyes change colors to indicate the level of pollen, so this is also an example of effective LED usage. Good luck Japan.
