Here’s a fun little hack that makes use of some dated (therefore inexpensive) technology. By using the analog viewfinder from an old VHS camcorder with the help of some powerful infrared LEDs, a spycam, and batteries, one can easily construct a powerful night vision scope. The site offers both instructions as well as a hilarious instructional video complete with a voiceover straight out of a late night infomercial. The completed headset also consists of a video output, allowing you to record what you see through the headset, as well as a red LED to let you know when you are running low on power. While, the legal practicality of this product is hard for me to understand, it is still an inexpensive and fun hack none the less.
