Jack Dollhausen is an artist who creates machines that interact with lights and sounds with the viewer. The way to makes these machines, they look as if they are sculptures, they are beautiful to look at, something you could hang on your wall. This machine called the Fourth Dancer responses to the viewer, if left alone it sleeps, but if someone approaches it dose a sort of light dance and makes sounds as the viewer moves near it. The distance from the machine and the viewer affect what kind of light dance or sound is produced. It is an eight bit computer, creating the sound synthesis and powering the tungsten lamps. I would love to own some of his machines, they seem to be very playful and fun as well as looking cool.
