This piece is “Girl With Ice Cream” by artist Alexandra Stratimirovic. What I find so appealing about it is the contrast of moving forward with materials (metal, white opal plexiglass, glass liquid containers, colored water and flourescent lamps) and giving the work, even the subject matter, an impressionistic feel.

It also draws links to works by Hockney and Uta Barth.

Whether working in collaberation or not, no one creates in a vacuum.

I also enjoy her restful use of color.
