As a change of pace I have opted to post about laptops. No, not the problematic MacBook Air, something a little beefier than that 3 pound work of art, none other than the Osborne 1. Weighing in at 23 pounds, the Osborne 1 first hit the market in June of 1981. It had a built in CRT display and was reasonably priced at $1,795. The Osborne 1 was about the size of a portable sewing machine and probably would have given you a backache if you put it in your backpack. If you would like to check out some more oldies, but goodies check out the link. Included are pics of the TRS-80 Model 100, otherwise known as the last PC that Bill Gates ever did extensive programming for.
