The Hill Doesn’t Chant Anymore is a video installation piece from the Istanbul Biennial. It’s creators, Ege Berensel, Serhat H. Yalc inkaya and Banu Onrat use video footage on three side by side monitors to relay a story. The approach is not historic, but personal as villagers act in protecting their health and envoronment from contaminated water run-off and cyanide used regionally in the mining of gold.
