with the huge success of guitar her0 1-3, there are many plans and “almost finished” projects for new and exciting guitar hero games. guitar hero has been featured on all consoles from x-box to wii, but they had yet to make it portable…until now. The Nintendo DS will soon be able to play the new Guitar Hero On Tour in the summer of 08. The game comes with an adapter that slides into place on the DS and gives you four “fret” buttons. the touch screen is used to “strum” the guitar and the non-touch screen shows the traditional guitar hero game play.
one down side of this game is going to be the four buttons. having only four instead of five will make the combinations of buttons less, also the overall difficulty won’t be nearly as hard. another setback is that instead of holding the scaled down Gibson guitar, you’re still just holding the DS taking away from the feel of really rocking out.
even with those few setbacks, the idea that you can play guitar hero on the go and are not confined to the console and TV will be enough for many gamers to give it a try.
