This interesting take on room lighting functions as both an ambient and direct light source. Designed by a group of New York architects, it’s pretty much a giant digital watch on the ceiling. The clock shows the time in minutes and is the only light source in the room. As the time changes, the frequency of the light changes also. The effect causes overall lighting in the room to vary at different times within the hour. The creators realized that a constant change in brightness every minute may become bothersome so they designed it to have a pretty consistent light intensity at all times. The resulting effect makes for a more subtle change in the overall atmosphere of the room.
