from trash to beaty

this piece was created by Daniel Rozin in 2001 from 500 pieces of trash collected by the artist on the streets of New York. The size of the morrow is – W 76″ x H 76″ x D 8″ (193cm ,193cm, 20cm) and if a person stands in front of it he/she is instantly reflected on the surface. The trash mirrow has a video camera, motors, and computer on board and produce a soothing sound as the viewer interacts with it. The idea the artist is trying to communicate is that we reflect in what we discard. This piece celebrates the ability of computation to inflict order on even the messiest of substances – trash.
