John Slepian‘s Little One fits right in with David Rokeby’s Transforming Mirrors article. Little One is an interactive piece that essentially acts like a baby. Little One senses the presence of others and cries to be held. If Little One is shaken or tipped too much, it throws a tantrum.

Little One plays on human emotions and makes those who interact with it part of the piece. Rokeby stated, “Each participant in an interaction receives the sensation of responsibility,” and that is clearly demonstrated in Little One.
