This is the Britepack Backpack from Tomorrow Incorporated. The object was to create a backpack that is more aesthetically pleasing than just a regular backpack. This backpack uses a motion sensor swith and has a collection of LEDs that light up across your back when you walk. It is a hit because younger kids love the fact that it lights up, and adults like it because it can be used as a “safety” feature as well, making their child mre visible in low light situations.

This is similar to my project, except for that on my backpack the LEDs will be on the straps and not the back. Also, instead of flashing across in a line, mine will all light up together in the shape of a star. Lastly I am using a pressure switch on the straps so that when you put it on, as your weight shifts and the weight of the backpack changes, the LEDs will light up. Then when you take it off the LEDs will stay off
