This project by Gene Cooper is and installation in Burning Man http://www.burningman.com/whatisburningman/. This is an event as part of a temporary artist community that takes place for a short time every year and hosts some 48,000 artists.(for more info click the Burning Man link) Gene Cooper made a LED-neon heart that uses heart monitors to transfer the viewer’s pulse to the artwork. The heart will then pulse along with the participants heartbeat with red and orange LED-neon lights. Unfortunately the piece was destroyed due to arson.
