This video about the great Jackson Pollock really energized me. However, you must watch it as well as listen to the music. This has the energy that Pollock was known for as being bipolar. He reinvented art in the 1950’s and is still relevant today. His legacy is that of a man of struggles and doubts. People are trying to imitate his style even today and he is someone who I want to take art one step further than. I have a great deal of respect for him despite his deeply flawed life. Like Van Gogh, he died thinking he was a failure. This is dedicated for all the artists who don’t recognize their own greatness or aren’t recognized during their lifetime.
