Well, perfect topic for this time of the year. How about a pumpkin outfitted with LEDs. Yeah, you’ve probably seen that and mabye done it. But throw in the ever-versatile Arduino platform and a really, really, really laud horn and now my friend you’ve just upped the Jack O’ Lantern modding possibilities considerably. MAKE’s Marc de Vinck looks to have done just that when he created this “scariest pumpkin ever.” To help it snag that title, de Vinck did away with the usual spooky Halloween sound effects and instead opted for a car horn, which lets out a blast whenever someone presses the impossible to resist red button. Feeling left out because you don’t have such a creation? Worry not, ’cause the creator of this pumpkin crafted a set of instructions for you to make your own scary Jack O’ Lantern.
