Double Taker

The double taker, created by Golan Levin, Lawrence Hayhurst, Steven Benders, and Fannie White, is an eight foot long mechanical arm that is meant to look like “an enormous inchworm or an elephant’s trunk”.  Installed above the entrance to a building, it moves and follows passersby with its eye as they walk past.  The goal of the sculpture is to appear continually interested with its viewers, giving the impression that there is something interesting about everyone.
