Taylor Hokanson‘s Sledgehammer Keyboard functions like a regular computer keyboard (it uses a hacked USB keyboard) , but the keys need a great deal of force to be pressed. To type, users must hit the keys with a sledgehammer.The thought behind Hokanson’s work is that maybe writing is perhaps becoming too easy. Hokanson asks, “If we put less physical effort into writing, is there also a corresponding shift in mental effort?”
