I found this sculpture to be very, very cool. I’m pretty new to this realm of art, so i can’t really comment on any technical procedures, but I must say it’s amazing what technology is doing in the arts today. I did do some research in Daniel Rozin, (the artist), who is the associate art professor at ITP and is the owner of Smoothware Design, which is a software company that designs tools for the interactive art community. Pretty sweet right? He has other sculptures much like “Mirrors Mirror” like one which uses wood, “The Wooden Mirror”, instead of a mirror. In “wooden mirror” light sensitive cameras somehow transfer the captured image into the wood! Anyone know how that is done?!
