The concept of dinosaurs to illustrate media giants and small scale producers made me realize that large corporations are only so stingy about copyright infringement and pointing fingers to those that might ‘steal’ from them because they are slow when it comes to attending to the needs of consumers. They need to keep up the image that they are kings of the dinosaurs and that the faster smaller producers should bow down to them. In reality it’s the independent small scale artists that have gained popularity with the consumers because they are faster at keeping up with current trends and creating new material based on the sharing that comes from ideas all over the Internet. Taking bits and pieces from one mind to the next and coming up with whole new concepts by expanding quickly and endlessly through the vast amount of data available on the web.

The sad reality is that information hoarding halts the process of creative flow by making everything about money and who gets credit for coming up with an idea or finding a piece of information first. In the world of science once information has been found they want to show the world so that other scientists can draw from this information and make new discoveries. The same should be true for artists as well. The best way to learn is to copy and make it your own. As a starting artist copyright infringement makes it difficult to work in a world that runs on computers and general concepts or ideas already belong to big companies.
