Lichtenstein and Sollfrank

In the reading of Art in the Age of Digital Distribution, an artist that I enjoy looking at his artwork is Roy Lichtenstein. His Pop Art reproduced like it was in comic books, and the use of using primary colors to make his artwork standout. In 1962 his painting “Blam” he  shows an airplane getting shot by a missile; uses the word “BLAM” to depicted the impact of the missile and degree of the explosion.

Another artist I was interested in was Cornelia Sollfrank, I was more interest in her motivation of doing “Femal Extenstion,” than the actual artwork. Sollfrank stood as a hacktivism, she used her hacking skill to bring up issues, such as sexism. In her artwork “Net Art Generator” she would hack and generate different images that were on the site. She wanted to express the “creative enjoyment and creative pleasures.”
