Final Project Proposal: Feedback Cube

on

Feedback Cube

Feedback is a process in which information about the past or the present influences the same phenomenon in the present or future. As part of a chain of cause-and-effect that forms a circuit or loop, the event is said to “feed back” into itself. (Wikipedia)

This project explores the phenomenon of sonic feedback created by the viewer to effect the atmosphere and mood of the environment in which they are immersed. Through a simple minimalist cubic form and a darkened room the sonic feedback will sculpt the auditory space within the room. In creating a sort of sensory depravation chamber and utilizing just the feedback to manipulate the senses, time will be stretched.
