My prototype project is the Mail Checker. This device uses multiple components to detect and communicate with the user. Using an Arduino Board , a battery source, a GSM board, and force sensors, the device has the ability to detect mail. Once placed in the mailbox , the device waits for any weigh to trigger the force sensor and inform the Arduino. Once force is applied , the Arduino sends out a signal to the GSM board, which finally send out a text message to the designated phone number. The prototype will be battery powered and will be a raw example of the final piece.
