For my project, I created lights that will switch on when a yoyo passes over the wires.
Materials:
Copper Tape
Electrical Tape
Conductive Thread
Resistors ()
Yoyo
LED lights
Step 1:
You will need to solder the resistor to the LED light. Then, connect the conductive thread to both ends of the LED using copper tape.
Step 2:
Using Electrical tape, tape the conductive thread that is attached to the resistor tightly so that the thread will not move around (as shown above). Next tape the thread on the other end away from the other thread (also shown above).
Step 3:
Next, tape down a piece of conductive thread on the opposite side of the thread that you had previously tightly taped down. Make sure to tape it close together but not close enough to touch each other. Also, have enough conductive thread to tape over freely. (see picture for an example)
Step 4:
Repeat step one and two but make sure that you attach the conductive thread on the non-resistor side to the string that you had taped away. (example in picture)
Step 5:
Repeat step three but make sure that the conductive threads on the side touch but not the ones that are parallel to each other. (example in picture)
Step 6:
Attach the battery to either end. If you did it correctly, it should look like the video below.
If the video does not work, here’s a LINK.
