For my final project, I’d like to continue with my interactive assignment project, which was the headband that lit up with different colors when you pushed it. Last time, I made the prototype work at least technically, but I noticed, as I think everyone did, that it was falling apart. I also think the wires were a bit distracting from the overall concept of my project, and I also think I can make my headband have even more functions than I did last time. For instance, I’m thinking of doing something where the headband lights up when people get close to it, almost as a way of warning me that something is close. For this I will probably use a proximity sensor, which I can get on amazon of adafruit. There will probably be one proximity sensor on the back of the headband and one on the front so the headband can light up in different directions. I think I will probably attach both sensors to trigger the same lights. I will also continue with my idea that the headband lights up with different colors when I touch certain points on it, but perhaps instead of two LEDs just lighting up, I will give the headband sort of a strobe like effect. I’m not sure if I will go forward with my idea of the headband lighting up when people get too close, but I will definitely do it if I can.
