I fixed, added, and alternated some items from my previous interactive project. Some of these include the materials and code being used in the project.
Materials used:
- Clipboard
- Bristol paper
- Hot glue
- Wooden coffee sticks
- mailing tube
- pir sensor
- arduino
- 9 volts battery
- jumpers
- Transparent plastic
- Copper wire
I alternated the previous surface for a wooden one that is shaped in a square that includes an opening space for the servo motor to not overheat too much running. It is also easier for me to nail the motor in place with this structure.
I hot glued the copper wire to the thin strips of plastic and then onto the inner end of the iris leaves. The copper wire made it easier to shape the form of the leaves. I then hot glued the wooden sticks around the iris to keep it in place. The more, the merrier!
Here a video of it working. You can skip a few seconds in the first half. 😛
