For the final project I would like to continue to work on the Bunny Ear headphones. Some issues that came up with the headphones as a prototype was that the battery could not power them on. This is a minor issue that can be easily addressed. Something that I would like to do that would take the headphones a step further, is that I would like to replace the mic. By replacing the mic with a one of better quality one, would make the flow of which the ears bend smoother.
I would also like to solder the wires to the trinket that I currently have. With all of the wires that are coming from the servos and the mic, it creates a mess. Although using the mini breadboard helps, it adds a lot of unnecessary weight to the ears. This makes it difficult for the ears to stand up by themselves.
Instead of the ears reacting to the surrounding sound, I would like them to react to the music that is playing in the headphones. The only thing that I know about this is that one would have to separate the bass and the treble. There are currently codes that are online that enable LEDS to light up when music is being played, by changing slightly rewriting the code it may be possible.
Another method of having the ears react would be based on voice commandment. When someone would say “Left ear down” the left ear would bend. There are tutorials online for this as well. However, the tutorial is meant for LEDs to light up. If I were to go down this route there is another program which is BitVoicer Sound schema.
Some questions that I have:
1. Is it possible to solder wires to together with the trinket that I have so I would not need the mini breadboard?
2. How would I go about separating bass and treble with the music and how would the adurino read it?
3. Would I need to make anymore purchases if I would go about with the ears reacting to music? Would I still need to buy a better mic?
