MEMS, or Micro Electro Mechanical Systems, could simply describe walking several cyber-miles in a matter of footsteps. When reading this, this made me think of a factor of science fiction that scientists strive to achieve daily: teleportation. As the article stated, one foot step could relate to 7 miles. In a way, this means that we have achieved a way to teleport through cyberspace.
It can make a person think if this is, in a way, a step closer to achieving teleportation. It doesn’t seem close to being anything like actual teleportation, but it’s just a thought.
