In 1989, interactive art originate from Austria. On of the work was American artist Lynn Hershman’s laserdisc. Early interactive art was more light works and place the objects. But computer science and technologies are developed and it combine with interactive art. By using a technologies, artists can make audiences involved into their work so the piece ‘activated’ by user. The work would not exist without his/her actions. Critic said interactive art gallery turned into playground. Nowadays digital technology is no longer a requirement of media art because user have right to not to interaction that could be part of work.

It was a really interesting article to me and I learned about history of interactive art and it become a media art. I think media art is very broad area. It can be every thing. The part that I loved it was piece became completed by his/her actions.
