Mood(y) Sweater

My idea for an interactive project is to attach a 16×2 LCD screen to the front of a sweater and program it with 5 “states” reflecting the wearers current mood. States would vary from an energetic “Hi!” to “Leave me alone”. It is often hard to tell what kind of mood someone is in, and things could be said to that person which might negatively affect them depending on their mood at the time. With this sweater, it would make interacting with and meeting new people much easier. The message will be controlled by an infrared remote. 5 buttons will be programmed to relay the messages to the arduino, which will then display the message on screen. If time permits, a sixth button will allow the user to create a custom message by using up and down arrows to select the letters they want in the message.
