It’s election season! But, it’s also baseball season. Which do you care about more? I submit that most of us are more enthusiastic about the Cubs being in the World Series than we are about who will be the next leader of our country. Therefore, my interactive project consists of a “voting booth” where the viewers will place a token for their candidate of choice, then press a button in order to view the counts. The top piece will rotate, however neither Trump nor Clinton will be at the center of attention anymore. Rather, the Cubs baseball team is showcased in a campaign-like fashion. I was inspired to make this because there were several occasions where I chose to watch the Cubs playoff games instead of any political debates. For baseball fans, Cubs winning the World Series would be a major mark in history. But so would having a female president! – if Clinton was to win. Why does Cubs history seem more valuable than presidential history to some? The answer will be different for every person.
