Before I start this blog post, I will like to give the definition of plausible. Plausible is a argument or statement seeming reasonable or probable. Jesse Schell is what my blog posting will be on. Jesse Schell talks about how unpopular games that only a certain group of people in society plays that game; however, as time went on more people began to play it. Schell brings up how sensor our being used in gaming systems and everything else we used due to the cheap price of technology to make it happen. He says “….Soon everything will be able to sense your every move… making everyday things to be a game…”. Another example he use a component in your toothbrush that tells you how long you brushed your teeth, when you brushed your teeth, and if you brushed your teeth every night. Therefore, it gives you XP making things interesting which can attract everyone’s attention instead of a certain group of people.
Jesse Schell video made me think of how the world is evolve to make people use business owner’s products. He brings up that in the future more companies will use sensors with everything we use. For another example, he talks about obtaining more XP by taking public transportation, or clocking in for work on time, or walking home instead of taking the bus. Earning all these XP can make your life more like a game you play. Therefore, the future will be able to sense your every move either your walking, driving, sleeping, reading, and etc. No matter what it is you’re obtaining achievements and XP similar to how console games do for you to upgrade your character.
Lastly, this video is important because Jesse Schell says at the very end of the video that “…. Man this improvement on technology can somehow make our life better, but how can we stop it from consuming us?” To answer that question in my opinion I sense that it is no way to stop it because the way technology is step up we are going to always use either we are old generation or new generation. It’s just one of those things.
