I’ve played games similar to games of twine and personally, I like these games. They are simple and instead of agility, they’re more on thought. These games also target social issues like sexuality and identity which I’m totally on board with. These games are part entertaining and part educational. These games remind me of “Freaks and Geeks” or “Oregon Trail”. I played the game “Beggar” and I found myself imagining what it would be like to be homeless like creator Porpentine. There weren’t many choices and there wasn’t a way to win. The game really illustrates how life isn’t fair and for a lot of people, life is sink or swim.
