Every Icon, a new media art piece by John F Simon Jr. ,  which is a
visual representation of computer symbols. This work is a white 32 x 32
square grid where each square turns black in until every pattern is
completed. For the artwork to run through every pattern it would take
around 5 billion years.   What is interesting about the work is that the
squares are constantly changing and that no person will ever see every
combination.

Another new media artist, Camille Utterback, uses more interactive methods in her artwork, specifically in Text Rain. When viewers walk in from of the screen they can interact with the letters through their shadows, allowing the letters to fall passively or gather in their hands or shoulders. This artwork allows people to play with the letters and with each other through their movements. What I like about this artwork is that, by itself, the artwork is static, but when people are introduced it brings on a new vitally to the piece.
