The first artist I chose from the reading is named Roy Lichtenstein. He is famous for his pop culture artwork. The piece of artwork that was interesting to me is called ” Look Mickey”. What I think is interesting about it is that is uses Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. These two characters are well known from children’s books and also two of my favorites. Lichtenstein uses them to convey a visual joke which Donald Duck ended up being on the wrong side of.

The other artist I chose was John F. Simon Jr. He created this piece of artwork called the unfolding object. Whats interesting about this is that is actually on an Web page. The reason why I think that makes it interesting is because it appears as a blank square on the Web page but as you click on is it unfolds to this piece which is called the unfolding object
