Light-up Toy Car
For my Creative Switch Project, I made a toy car that has light-up LED headlights. As the car moves forward, the circuit becomes closed and the LEDs turn on.
1. First, design the shape of the toy car you want to make (or, you can find some toy wooden cars online). Then, paint it any color you want.
2. If the wooden toy car does not have holes for the headlights, drill in two holes.
3. Re-touch up any paint after drilling.
4. Decorate the toy car.
5. Now, it’s time to build the circuit!
I used a 9 volt battery, two blue LEDs, a resistor, wire, and aluminum foil. A piece of aluminum foil wrapped around wire is attached to the wheel of the car. When the wheel moves forward, the aluminum foil moves forward and closes the circuit. Then, the LEDs turn on.
