In the NeMe paper the author dives into that can be considered as ‘interactive art’ in the modern computer-driven age. The author gives examples of how it is now easier to reach people through the click of a button and interact through small means, than a physical interaction of older art. By the minimal interaction that technology brings us changes the way that we view ‘interactive art’ making us ask the question of; how interactive does the art have to be? The author tries to answer this question by breaking up types of interactive art based on who is the user and how the work functions. I think that, while this method is valid, goes into splitting hairs when talking about this type of artwork. Depending on how the artwork is defined, both by the artist and the individual viewer, anything could be interactive art if described properly.
