“Art Against Information”provides insight on our daily use of data through tasks such as blogging and e-mailing. It is not about the actual data, but rather the processing, manipulating, and understanding of the information provided or given through data. Data art is a unique form of art because it provides a visual aesthetic as information is being processed. Works such as “The Dumpster” and “We Feel Fine” take human emotions from blogs and transform it into a work of interactive art. Both works provide tools in order to navigate further to each break up whether it is a past breakup or a dreamt break up. Both works are also referred to as the database of human feeling and emotion because they both take actual blogs from people in the world who have written about their breakups and/or feelings. “The Dumpster” and “We Feel Fine” stuck out the most in this article because they live up to word ‘interactive’. These works aren’t just glorified because of the artist but rather glorified because how the artists involve everyone else. “We Feel Fine” is an artwork authored by everyone, Jonathan Harrison write.”
