I am partnering with my classmate to make a light up umbrella. I want to work with an accelerometer and neopixels. I want to use motion for the umbrella, when the umbrella twirls it will light up. The me-pixels will be placed in between the umbrella where there is not metal, on the middle on the bottom outside of the umbrella. This umbrella will work for when it rains and its dark outside so people could use this a top to alert people that they are outside. Also it would brighter people moods with having this piece with lights on it instead of worrying about a gloomy, rainy day. The umbrella would be not only a piece of artwork but a way for pedestrians can walk. My questions are is neo-pixels waterproof? Would I have to do a certain pattern for the umbrella or the me-pixels?
