For the final project, I will be enhancing the interactive project we previously did into a 3D model with a slide switch. For the slide switch, I will be incorporating LEDs in the skyscraper buildings and as a car passes by, the LEDs will switch on. The NeoPixel will be place inside the Willis Tower and the antennas will also light up. I also plan on placing more LEDs throughout certain buildings, but they will not be switched on by the slide switch. The materials I will be using are Arduino, breadboard, LEDs, NeoPixel strip, NeoPixel ring, 3V coin batteries, 9V battery, hot glue, wood, and copper fabric. I want to create this piece because it shows the beauty of downtown Chicago and viewers will be able to interact with the LEDs that enhance how bright downtown is throughout the night.
