For this project I attempted making glasses that resemble the exaggerated glasses in anime by making two LEDs light up when touching the middle part of the frame. Due to technical issues, the LEDs light up when you press on the right leg of the frame. Here is how:
Materials:
- Any type of glasses frame (I used a pair of 3D glasses)
- Wax/parchment paper
- Two button batteries
- Two white LEDs
- Conductive tape
- Electric tape
- Clear tape
- Scissors
- Pen/pencil
First: trace the shape of your lenses, cut them out then tape them onto your lenses as seen in the pictures.
Second: Stick the conductive tape along the legs of the glasses like so,
Third: stick one LED on the corner of the lens and secure it by putting conductive tape on top of the LED legs and repeat for the other lens.
This should be how your glasses look like after adding all the tape and the two LEDs.
Four: Add conductive tape on the other leg of the glasses so that we can close the current.
Five: Put the button batteries on either leg. Make sure that the batteries are placed in the right way for the charge to flow through the current. Seal with electric tape.
Six: Now press down on the batteries which should turn on the LED and give you that dramatic glare for your anime glasses.
