Pop Up Image(Creative Switch Project)By: Braeden Daugherty

Materials required:

  • conductive tape
  • paper (any size, preferably printer paper)
  • led bulbs (yellow, or orange)
  • 9-volt battery
  • 9-volt battery connector
  • wooden board for the base
  • tacky glue

Step One:

  • Using the paper make an image that you want to light up, in this case, I decided to make a sunny day image
  • next, fold the paper once in half and then in half again so that the image is split into four quadrants
  • If the paper you use is too thin attach another sheet on the back with some tacky glue so that the paper holds its form nicer

Step Two: Using the legs of the LED lights pierce the paper and bend the legs so that the lights stay in place

Step Three:

  •  connect the tape in series to the legs of the LED’s making sure to add in a resistor before or after the three LED’s
  • when done taping make sure to have the tape start and end underneath the page and near each other so as to easily connect to the 9-volt connector

Step Four: attach the bottom right quadrant to the bottom right of the baseboard using the tacky glue

Step Five: attach the 9-volt and the connector to the board using the glue again making sure that the exposed wires line up to where the tape will lay when the folded page opens up
