In May of 2000, the good news of 24 new satellites used for Global Positioning System’s around the world meant increased accuracy. With this news, ideas began swirling around and before long the idea similar to a treasure hunt was developed. The goal of Geocaching is to locate the hidden containers, and the fun behind it is the where the exploration takes you. There are Geocache devices hidden in 684,491 different locations worldwide. I think this is an excellent way to get outdoors and use technology to accomplish a goal.
