Rob Seward’s Consciousness Field Resonator

Rob Seward’s Consciousness Field Resonator mimics research in the field of micropsychokenisis, particularly in regards to computerized random number generators, set up all over the world by the Global Consciousness Project at Princeton University, that look for an unusual spike in patterns of numbers. These patterns seem to correlate with significant historical events. For example, on September 11th and during Princess Diana’s Funeral, a significant increase in regularity was recorded by these random generators suggesting that somehow the consciousness of the world affected these generators.

For his Interactive Telecommunications Program thesis at NYU, Seward constructed a Consciousness Field Resonator. It is basically a random number generator that one can place in their home. If it detects abnormal behavior, it alerts the user. As a local random generator, there is a possibility that it is affected by local events as well as major global events. In the event this object goes off, it forces the user to use intuition to figure out what correlation has occurred. On his site there is a five minute video quickly explaining the concept as well as instructions on how to construct your own random number generator.
