This project comes from UnitedVisualArtists, a group specializing in the combination of art, design, and technology- and Battles, a ridunkulosly sweet band from New York. UVA created LED installations that create a great minimalistic contrast to the environment the video was filmed in. Although there’s nothing too groundbreaking going on here, the LED installations create a great visual display and excellent work of art. I felt the visuals provided by UVA were very effective in creating an exceptional music video for Battles. UVA have also worked with Massive Attack and Playstation, among other projects, to create visual displays that incorporate sound into its design.
