My first idea is a drawing device to create a picture with
tiny nylon shaft beads. This would work by having 3 different color beads in
three separate containers that have an opening towards the sheet of paper as shown in the picture. The 3 motors with a flap on
them would then move the beads to a sticky adhesive surface such as the back of
a sticker surface. Motor one would direct the first set of beads, and go off.
The same process would happen with motor 2 and 3. Then after a while all 3 motors would go on
at a higher speed to direct any excess beads towards the picture. This whole
process combines the human interaction to supply the beads but to also let the
motors serve a function as well.

My second idea is another drawing device to create a picture
of pastel half circles using motors. These would be repositionable motors attached
with wire with pastel chalk attached. It would spin the chalk in 180 degree
movements to create half circles. These wires could then be moved to various
placements on the paper. To have all three motors placed in their spot, I would
want them to go on all at once and then after that they each go off
individually. It would be unique to create this abstract artwork done with motors connected to arduino.

Very cool ideas! The second is the more doable. Would be great to add another layer of mobility in there for the motors. For example, what if all the motors were hanging from a mobile that could spin independently? You'll need to weight the motors so that they are able to make a good mark. You might also consider hanging them with elastic thread in order to add more variation into the drawings.
