My proposal for the interactive assignment is to create a shirt design with LEDs that is controlled with a force censor that is wired along the sleeve of the shirt. During the thought process of the shirt design, I was inspired a great deal by Iron Man’s chest piece and Blinkenlight’s building designs art. Thus, I want to program the Arduino to fade in and out to resemble a heart beating. When pressed, the force censor will have the 7 LEDs fade in and out of the “heart beating” sequence. The Arduino will be connected to the computer through a usb port sent through the same sleeve as where the force censor will be pressed.

    Hi Bridget –

Sounds very elegant. You wont need the computer though, once the arduino is programmed! Look up the soft button options in the Open SoftWear book – I think these may serve better to start the program. Or, you could use the force sensor to make the heart rate go faster with more pressure?
