A Reminder For Males

“A Reminder For Males”
 Matthew Balzekas

So you’ve birthed a son.
Or you have a new boy friend.
Or your brother just moved back in.

While you’re in for a great deal of trouble in many ways that you may not understand yet, one of them is easily solvable with this grand new technology by Balzekas Electronics!
Many males of all ages have a consistent inability to remember to put the seat of the toilet down for their human counterparts who in fact, believe it or not, do not want to touch a dirty toilet seat used by a male, who they correctly assumed is not foresighted enough to be cleanly.

We here at Balzekas Electronics believe so thoroughly in the research we do we want to share the details of our items construction down to every step;

Materials:
5 LED’s
Electrical Wire
Magnet
Cardboard
Computer paper
Electrical tape
Reed Switch
12v Battery
Pliers
Scissors
Solder
Soldering Gun
Sharpie
Brain

So to create this beautiful reminder for your male you need to begin with a sheet of cardboard. Once the piece of cardboard of desired size is selected the next step is to cover it with a sheet of white computer paper attaching it with a glue; glue sticks are easy.

Next write the reminder of your choice. One that has substantial historical or religious weight is best for the fullest informational impact (an understanding of the inability for men to both learn and retain is essential here, so your sign must be caked with heavy emotional guilt.)

The next step is to drill holes into your cardboard where your LED’s will be inserted. You can do this by stabbing the cardboard with a pen or other sharp object and cleaning up the hole. (note you want your hole to be slightly smaller than the led so there is tension to hold the LED in place)

Next use your sharpie to indicate which end of your LED is the anode so that if you’re like me you don’t forget.

Insert LED’s into holes.

Next cut wire to lengths appropriate for spacing between LED’s.

Attach wire by wrapping it around the LED.

Solder joints for greater security of connection be careful not to burn LED’s.

Next attach wires to each end of the circuit on
the cardboard, these will go to the battery and switch. (Note make sure the length of these wires is enough to fit on toilet with desired location of the switch.)

Attach one wire connected to the cardboard to the battery.

Then attach a wire from the battery to the reed switch. All attachments in these processes will be done with electrical tape.

Then attach the wire connected to the other, unconnected end of your circuit on the cardboard sheet and attach it to the other end of the switch. You have now completed the circuit.

Next bundle the battery and switch and attach them to the side of the toilet.

Finally attach magnet to toilet seat. The magnet will operate as a switch when the seat is up the light will go on and when the seat is down the lights will go off.

You now have a bright educational tool to teach your child, whether 2 or 20 how to properly use the toilet.
